Take-Two's shareholder meeting restated November 19. It did not drop a trailer
At Take-Two's virtual annual meeting on September 17, Strauss Zelnick restated the November 19 launch, called GTA 6 a single-player title on Xbox and PS5, said there is no recurrent consumer spending on this launch, confirmed 13 launch languages, and said GTA V Online keeps running. No trailer was shown.
Take-Two held its 2026 annual meeting of stockholders as a virtual, audio-only webcast on September 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern. The published agenda was director elections, an advisory vote on pay, an officer-liability charter amendment, and the auditor. After those votes, chairman and chief executive Strauss Zelnick took shareholder questions. He restated the Grand Theft Auto VI launch date. He did not show a trailer, date a trailer, or hand the session to Rockstar.
The transcript is on stockanalysis.com, from Quartr. The meeting itself had been noticed on Take-Two’s investor site.
What he actually said about GTA 6
On GTA Online, after restating the date:
Just as a reminder, we have announced that we will be launching GTA VI on November 19th. It’s a single-player title and it’s being launched on Xbox and PS5. If the question is with regard to GTA V Online, that continues to be a robust business for us, and we will continue to support GTA V Online.
On recurrent consumer spending, after a question about whether Take-Two has plans to make sure GTA 6 has it:
Just to reiterate, we’re launching GTA VI as a single player experience on two major platforms. Therefore, there’s no recurrent consumer spending anticipated with regard to this launch.
That last sentence is about this launch, the single-player SKU on two consoles. It matches what Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson already said in August: you cannot spend real money inside the campaign. It is not a promise about a later online mode, which Take-Two still has not announced. The Ultimate Edition is still $20 more than Standard at purchase. That is not recurrent spending either.
On languages, answering a question about international marketing:
The answer is we will be launching the title in 13 languages, localized, which is typical for our launches. Sometimes we launch for more languages than that. That’s initially. Generally speaking, over time, we will launch in other languages. Since the question was asked specifically about Latin America, we will be launching in Spanish and Portuguese and also all major European languages.
The Rockstar Store already prints the same count under “Supported Languages”: English, French, Italian, German, Russian, Japanese, Polish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spain) and Portuguese (Brazil). That is 13. Zelnick’s answer is the publisher standing behind the store listing, plus a note that more languages can follow.
On PC, answering a question about whether PS5 Pro shortages change the cadence of PC launches:
The strategy of the company is over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience. But that isn’t always the case, and certainly if platforms were no longer viable, we would change that strategy, and I would note that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.
He did not name Grand Theft Auto VI in that answer. He did not date a PC version. The confirmed platforms remain PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The longer read of that line is on the PC port page.
On marketing: “More specific marketing information will, of course, come from Rockstar Games. We always leave it to our labels to talk about marketing of its titles.” The album Rockstar had just announced is covered separately: Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
What did not happen
The meeting was audio-only. There was no stage, no video, and no Trailer 3. Speculation that tied this calendar slot to a third trailer is the same pattern we already labelled on the Trailer 3 page. The agenda was governance. The Q&A was the publisher repeating things it has already said, with the language count as the one new figure.
November 19, 2026 is unchanged. See the release date page. What happens to the current GTA Online is on GTA Online after GTA 6. Whether a GTA 6 online mode exists at all is still the online page.
