GTA 6's first six radio stations: Flash FM returns, Bad Bunny and Lana Del Rey host, and the radio works on foot
Rockstar named six GTA 6 radio stations on October 8, 2026, with previews on its music page: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. Hosts reported by the press include Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robyn, Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya, Burna Boy, Trick Daddy and Trina. Radio and new on-demand podcasts play on foot through in-game earbuds. More stations are coming, including classic rock and talk radio. V-Rock is still not named.
Rockstar named its first six GTA 6 radio stations on October 8, 2026, and you can listen to a preview of each one now. The announcement went out on the Rockstar Newswire, with station previews and three new screenshots on rockstargames.com/VI/music. It is the first official station list for the game, six weeks before the November 19 launch.
Two things change beyond the names. Radio now plays on foot, through earbuds and headphones connected to Jason’s and Lucia’s phones. And there are on-demand podcasts made for the two of them, which reporting on the Newswire calls a series first. RockstarINTEL quotes the post describing “the largest and most comprehensive lineup of in-game radio and podcasts.”
The six stations
Rockstar’s music page lists each station with its on-air hosts by first name or persona. The real voices come from Rolling Stone, Consequence and RockstarINTEL, reporting the Newswire.

A few notes on the table:
- Flash FM is the returning name. It was the pop station in GTA Vice City in 2002. Rockstar’s page calls it “the Vice City institution.”
- Mud Dog Mike is a roving reporter and swamp meteorologist who broadcasts from an airboat. Lana Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, voices him. Dufrene is a Louisiana swamp-tour guide in real life, which is the joke.
- The Chamber appears as “The Chamber” on the music page tile and as “The Chamber 106.6” in the reporting of the Newswire post.
- Preview tracks are three per station. They are what Rockstar chose to show, not a full playlist.
Keengamer reads Back Country Radio as broadcasting to Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. That is one outlet’s reading and we have not seen it on Rockstar’s page.
Radio on foot, and podcasts
In earlier GTA games the radio lived in the car. Walk away from it and you walked away from the music. In GTA 6, radio and the new podcasts play in vehicles and on foot, routed through in-game headphones and earbuds paired to the player’s smartphone.
The podcasts are on-demand, made for Jason and Lucia, and separate from the terrestrial stations. Rockstar has not named any of them, or said who hosts them. GTA has had talk radio since GTA III. A podcast you can pause and pick up again is new.
There are more stations than six
Rockstar’s music page introduces the lineup as “spanning stations dedicated to everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio.” Neither classic rock nor talk radio is among the six. Keengamer reports that Rockstar’s post on X also lists modern hip-hop, dance, the 1980s, electronic, blues and ballads as categories still to be named.
GTA Boom and Keengamer both report that the next music update covers the game’s dynamic score and more singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. No date has been given.
V-Rock is still not on the list
Jason wears a V-Rock shirt in Trailer 2, and V-Rock was the rock station in the original Vice City. It is not one of the six. A classic rock station is clearly coming, so it is still possible. It is not confirmed.
The leak got two of the names right
In August, one of Cyberleek’s clips scrolled through an in-game radio list. Outlets transcribing it named, among others, Back Country Radio and Dirty South Classics. Both are now official. That is another sign the August build was real, which Rockstar had already said on August 26. It does not confirm the rest of that list, which included Stockyard FM, Symphony FM, Emotion, DNU and CircoLoco Records Radio. Those stay unconfirmed until Rockstar names them. The leak itself is covered on the August leak page.
A second leak arrived on the same morning as this announcement, unrelated to it: 25 minutes of footage that is not yet verified.
What this does not answer
- How many stations there are. Six are named. The total is not.
- Whether any of The Album’s 34 tracks plays on these stations. Rockstar has not said.
- Whether the hosts appear on screen. These are radio voices. No cameo has been announced.
- Spotify in the game. Still not a feature. The album being on Spotify is a distribution deal.
The full picture, with the trailer songs, the Extended Look identifications and the album, is on the GTA 6 soundtrack and radio page.
