The six GTA 6 album singles did 4.1 million Spotify streams in 24 hours. That is still not Spotify in the game
The Music Universe, citing first-day Spotify figures, says the six Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album singles did 4.1 million global streams in 24 hours. Morgan Wallen's Last Thing You Need opened at 23 on the US daily chart. A streaming day is not an in-game playlist feature.
The six singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album did 4.1 million global Spotify streams in their first 24 hours. The Music Universe published that figure on September 18, 2026, the day after Rockstar and Atlantic named the record. GTAVice repeated the same set of numbers the next morning. Neither outlet is the Rockstar Newswire. The useful fact is still the count, not a new feature.
Spotify is one of the services carrying the album. A first-day stream total is not Spotify inside GTA 6.
The numbers, and which ones to keep
| Figure | What it describes |
|---|---|
| 4.1 million | Combined global Spotify streams of the six singles in the first 24 hours |
| No. 23 | US daily chart debut for Morgan Wallen’s Last Thing You Need, the highest of the six |
| 137,000+ | Spotify shares across the six tracks. Travis Scott’s RHYNO was the most shared |
| 250,000+ | User playlists that added at least one of the six on release day |
| about 2,000 | New GTA VI-related playlists created that day |
| nearly 40,000% | Official Grand Theft Auto playlist, versus the previous day |
| +3,042% / +950% | Spotify searches for “GTA VI” versus average, and for “GTA” globally |
The percentage spikes are the ones to read last. A 40,000 percent jump on a playlist is what happens when a quiet catalogue list suddenly has six new singles. The 4.1 million combined streams, and Wallen’s 23, are the figures that stand on their own.
The Music Universe also lists artist-page-view lifts on release day: Keith Richards +1,200%, Morgan Wallen +168%, Rauw Alejandro +96%, Travis Scott +93%, with Scott still the highest overall page views in the group. Top countries streaming the official playlist: United States, then Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Germany.
Those are first-day platform stats. They will move. Do not treat a later Spotify play count on an artist page as the 24-hour number above.
What this still does not confirm
- Radio stations or DJs. No station was named with the album, and none was named with these charts.
- In-game Spotify. A streaming home for a record is not a playlist feature in the car. The September 16 billboards have not been upgraded into that either.
- Cameos. Stream counts are not credits.
- The other 28 songs. Still unnamed.
The six titles stay on the soundtrack page as album tracks. Licensed trailer songs and the Extended Look identifications stay in their own piles.
