Pfister Comet

The Pfister Comet is Grand Theft Auto's Porsche 911 equivalent, and it returns in GTA 6. The Drive picked it out of Trailer 2 (May 2025) among the sharper traffic rendered for Leonida. That sighting is the confirmation: the car is in, and nothing beyond that has been detailed.

What makes a 911 recognisable is an engineering decision Porsche made in 1963 and then spent sixty years refusing to abandon. The engine sits behind the rear axle, which is the wrong place for it. Weight hanging out past the back wheels makes the car want to swing its tail wide, and early 911s earned a reputation for punishing drivers who lifted off the throttle mid-corner.

Porsche kept the layout and engineered around it instead: wider rear tyres, a longer wheelbase, rear-axle geometry that steers slightly under load, and eventually all-wheel drive. The payoff is traction. With the engine mass pressing down on the driven wheels, a 911 puts power to the road out of a slow corner better than a mid-engined rival, and it does it in the wet as well as the dry.

The shape came along for the ride. Because the mechanical layout never changed, neither did the proportions, and the roofline that runs unbroken from windscreen to tail has stayed legible across every generation from the 1960s cars through the 930, 964, 993 and the water-cooled models that followed. It is one of the few car silhouettes that needs no badge.

The Comet carries that into the GTA world. The nameplate has run through the series since the 3D era, long before Rockstar attached the Pfister brand to it, and it has generally sat where a real 911 sits: quick and expensive without being exotic in the way a Grotti or Pegassi is. It is the car for a player who wants pace without a supercar's fragility.

For GTA 6 specifically, that is the extent of what is known. Rockstar has published no performance figures, no handling notes, and no in-game price for any vehicle. Any Comet top speed circulating for GTA 6 is extrapolated from GTA V or invented.
