Aventador-style supercar

Rockstar's Lamborghini stand-in appears in the first trailer at roughly 0:33, driving a Vice Beach thoroughfare past the Boardwalk Hotel. Outlets tracing the car to its source point to the Lamborghini Aventador, specifically the SV, with the sharp headlights and low wedge profile carried over; some also read a touch of the W Motors Lykan HyperSport in the front-end details.

The Aventador replaced the Murcielago in 2011 and was built around two things Lamborghini declined to modernise. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, no turbochargers and no hybrid assistance for most of its life, at a point when almost every rival had adopted one or both. The second is the scissor door, hinged at the front and rotating upward, a Lamborghini signature since the Countach of the 1970s and reserved by the company for its V12 cars.

Underneath it was more modern than the theatre suggests: a carbon-fibre monocoque, pushrod suspension borrowed in principle from single-seat racing, and all-wheel drive. The SV, launched in 2015, stripped weight and raised output further. Production ended in September 2022 after 11,465 cars, more than the Countach, Diablo and Murcielago managed between them.

The naming here is provisional. Pegassi is GTA's Lamborghini brand and the likely badge, but Rockstar has not named this car, has not confirmed it as player-ownable, and has published no figures. The Aventador identification is community and press analysis of a few seconds of trailer footage.
