Rockstar opened pre-orders for a $399.99 GTA 6 Collector's Box. The game is not in it
The Rockstar Store lists Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, an 11-item merchandise box. US coverage of the listing quotes $399.99, the UK price quoted is £349.99, and a German store session on September 25 returned €399.99. It can ship from November 19, one per person, and the page says the game is sold separately.
Rockstar Games put a Collector’s Box up for pre-order on September 24, 2026. The product is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection. The Newswire post is titled “Pre-Order The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection Now While Supplies Last.” Rockstar’s post on X the same afternoon uses the same introduction: a premium collectible set inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator, while supplies last.
The store page is where the price, the eleven items and the shipping rules are written out. The note under the contents list is the part that decides what this is: Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately.
The game still has two editions, Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99. The boxed copy of the game is still a download code, not a disc.
What the price actually is
The sticker follows the store region.
| Region | Price on the listing | Where that number comes from |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $399.99 | VGC, reading the store on September 24 |
| United Kingdom | £349.99 | VGC. Eurogamer reported the same listing as £349 |
| Germany | €399.99 | The store’s own product data for a German session, checked September 25. The button on that session was still Pre-Order |
Shipping is extra. The page says the item is not eligible for free shipping, and the FAQ adds that buyers outside the US and UK may owe duties and taxes charged locally.
The box measures 19 in by 13.5 in by 12.5 in. Rockstar marks it ages 18 and up, fragile, a choking hazard, and not a toy.
The eleven items
The store lists these, and only these. Individual pieces are not sold on their own.
| Item | What Rockstar prints |
|---|---|
| Macca the Gator figure | PVC figure on an ABS base, about 118 mm by 128 mm by 161 mm. The base twists open. The copy has Macca smoking and holding a flamingo blood martini |
| Oakley Frogskins sunglasses | Matte black, Prizm Sapphire lenses, a Vice City pink GTAVI logo on the frame |
| Leonida Keys crossbody bag | Ripstop, 14 in by 5.6 in by 3.9 in, black and pink lining, a debossed YKK zipper pull |
| New Era 9FORTY snapback | A-Frame hat with Vice City Leonida decoration. Polyester |
| Macca the Gator magnetic mirror | Electroplated pink glass, about 228.6 mm by 304.8 mm by 5 mm, two magnets on the back. The copy says it can sit as a tray or hang as artwork |
| Chunkee the Manatee shot glass | About 50.8 mm by 36.1 mm by 60.5 mm. Chunkee on the front, a laser-etched Rockstar Games logo on the bottom |
| Vice City swizzle spoon | Decorative only. The FAQ says it is not for food contact. About 150 mm long |
| Vice City razor blade keychain | Silver-plated zinc with blunted edges. The razor piece is about 40.9 mm by 19.4 mm by 1 mm, with embossed GTAVI and Vice City logos |
| Leonida Keys enamel pins | Nine pins in a metal tin |
| Leonida Keys stickers | Nine crack-and-peel vinyl stickers in a stash bag |
| Double-sided souvenir poster | Macca the Gator characters on the front. Rockstar’s line for the back is “a full view of the Leonida map” |
The millimetre figures are from the store FAQ, “What are the materials, care, and measurement details of each item?” The public blurb does not call the figure a six-inch statue. That rounding is from write-ups, not from the product page.
Eurogamer’s headline treated the mirror, the spoon and the razor keychain as a drug gag. The FAQ is plainer than the joke. The spoon is labeled decorative and not for food contact. The keychain is plated zinc with the edges blunted.
Who can order it, and when it leaves
The FAQ answers, in Rockstar’s wording:
- One purchase per person. Buying requires a login to the Rockstar Store.
- Limited quantities. The Newswire title and the X post both say “while supplies last.” The store FAQ says the item “is currently only available in limited quantities,” with no unit count. If it sells out, the page offers a wishlist and points people at Rockstar’s marketing emails for later merchandise news. That is not a promise of a second run.
- Available to ship from November 19, 2026. That is the day a box can leave, the same day the game launches, not the day it arrives. A shipping email carries a tracking link. Each box has its own number. How long it takes depends on the option chosen at checkout.
The same FAQ names the countries it will ship to: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the United States. That is 23. Asia, Latin America and Australia are not on the list. A Chinese store session for the same URL is told the product is unavailable in that region. The FAQ does not say those regions get a later pre-order window.
Macca was already named. Chunkee was not
This box is not the first time Rockstar has put Macca the Gator in public. On the editions page, Ultimate’s Goodtime Gear line is “a capsule collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the Goodtime State’s hit TV show character, Macca the Gator.” The image description on that page is Jason and Lucia in hats and shirts with Macca on them and the words “Vice City, Leonida.” Goodtime Gear is in-game clothing on the Ultimate Edition. The Collector’s Box is a separate physical product.
Chunkee the Manatee is new to the public pages. The editions page does not name the character. The store does, as the picture on a shot glass. That is the whole confirmation: a name and a drawing on merchandise.
The poster is not a map release
Rockstar describes the back of the souvenir poster as a full view of the Leonida map, for “a road trip to every corner of the Goodtime State.” That sentence is product copy for an illustration. It is not a map document, and this page is not going to name cities off it.
The bag, the pins and the stickers are branded Leonida Keys. That name was already a region Rockstar had published, with the tag “Gateway to Paradise.” A merchandise line using it does not add a city, and it does not settle the Key West question. Rockstar still has not named a stand-in for the western tip of the real Florida Keys.
This is not the September plant photos
On September 9, photos of large black GTA VI boxes at a plant in Mexico circulated with a claim that a Collector’s Edition, possibly with a disc, was already being packed. Interior shots that followed on September 12 showed a T-shirt, a trucker cap, stickers, a keyring and a welcome card. That packing list is not this one. The store box is a Macca figure, Oakley sunglasses, a New Era hat, a crossbody bag, a mirror, a shot glass, a spoon, a razor keychain, pins, stickers and a poster. No disc, no copy of the game, no steelbook.
The official listing matches the reading we already ranked as possible on the plant-photo leak: a merchandise box sold without the game, the way Red Dead Redemption 2’s Collector’s Box was items only. It does not authenticate those photos, and it does not put a disc in a retail box. The plant-photo claim stays a rumor.
The product name was already in the store catalog on the morning of September 24, before the public page described the eleven items. Insider Gaming reported that pull, including a one-per-customer cap, and a weight figure the public page does not repeat. The page above is the source for contents, price and shipping. The catalog pull is only how the name surfaced first.
