A scoped hunting rifle appears in official Rockstar screenshots shouldered by a hunter out in Leonida's wetlands, complete with a heavy barrel, bipod, and camouflage finish. The lines match a Remington 700, specifically the BDL sporting variant, a bolt-action platform that has served American hunters and police marksmen since 1962 and forms the basis of the US military's M24 and M40 sniper systems.

This is the workmanlike precision rifle rather than a military anti-materiel piece, fitting the rural, gator-and-deer side of the map more than the Vice City heist scenes. GTA 5 offered a comparable Sniper Rifle in the same mold, so the pattern is familiar to the series. Everything past the type and its trailer-screenshot appearance is unconfirmed: zoom levels, magazine size, and available skins have not been detailed by Rockstar, and the in-game name remains unknown.
