VC Port

Billed by Rockstar as "the cruise ship capital of the world," VC Port is Vice City's working waterfront, the docks where liners, cargo, and container traffic meet the metro. An official Vice City screenshot shows a cruise ship berthed at the terminal.

The tagline sits close to Miami's own marketing. PortMiami has billed itself as the Cruise Capital of the World for years and has the volume to argue it, moving 8.56 million cruise passengers in the 2025 fiscal year, although Port Canaveral up the coast edged past it for the world title in that same year. Cruise is not the whole business either. The port handled more than 1.1 million containers in 2025, and both operations share one artificial island. Dodge Island was assembled from dredged fill in the 1960s, and for fifty years everything that reached it, including every truck leaving a container terminal, crossed a single bridge through downtown. A tunnel finally opened in 2014 to take the freight traffic underneath the city instead. The scale is what makes it useful as game space. Cruise terminals are enormous flat structures with parking, service roads, and gantries; container yards next door are stacked, vertical, and full of cover. Those are two very different playgrounds sharing a fence line.

A port district has been part of Vice City since 2002, and Rockstar has now confirmed VC Port by name in official copy. What is not confirmed is anything about how it functions in play: no missions, no accessible interiors, and no vessel interaction have been announced.
