Kelly County

A western Gulf-coast county said to contain the town of Port Gellhorn, Kelly County carries a name pulled from datamined road signs and community mapping, not from any official Rockstar reveal. Port Gellhorn itself is confirmed, described in official copy as Leonida's "forgotten coast", but the county wrapping it is unofficial and could change.

The cited analogues are Collier and Lee counties in southwest Florida. Collier is Naples and Marco Island on the coast with Big Cypress National Preserve filling its interior, one of the wealthiest coastal strips in the state sitting directly against undeveloped swamp. Lee is Fort Myers and Cape Coral, the latter platted in the 1950s as a canal development on a scale that left it with more kilometres of canal than any city in the world.

There is a tension worth naming. Port Gellhorn reads convincingly as Panama City Beach, which is in the Panhandle, several hundred kilometres northwest of Collier and Lee. Leonida compresses the real state and Rockstar is under no obligation to preserve the geography, but it does mean the county-to-analogue mapping circulating in community breakdowns is not internally settled. Treat the name, the extent, and the analogue as unconfirmed.
