Lucia Caminos is the first female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, a milestone the numbered series carried for roughly three decades before her reveal in the December 2023 first trailer. Rockstar's bio opens on her father, who taught her to fight before she could walk; fighting for her family is what landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and, in the bio's words, sheer luck got her out.

She is the other half of the central duo with Jason Duval, framed by Rockstar as a Bonnie-and-Clyde couple. Trailer 2 reportedly opens with her leaving prison and pairing back up with Jason. Lucia is written as Latina, part of the cast Rockstar has built around its fictional Florida, Leonida. No numbered GTA entry had centered a female protagonist before her, which makes the casting a genuine first for the series. Her full backstory and the crime that jailed her are not officially detailed.

Who voices her has not been announced. The name attached to the part almost everywhere is Manni L. Perez, a New York based actress with credits on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and New Amsterdam, and the case for her rests on three things. An IMDb credit, which anyone can edit. A vocal and physical resemblance that fans have pointed to since the first trailer in December 2023. And a prior Rockstar credit: an unnamed blackjack dealer added to GTA Online with the 2019 Diamond Casino update. That last one is real, and it is why the reporting since the Extended Look calls her all but confirmed.

It is still not a confirmation. Rockstar has named no cast member for GTA 6 and may not before launch, and Perez has not said she plays Lucia. Until one of them does, treat the casting as reported rather than known, whatever the headlines say.
