Rockstar modeled the Tulip on the 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, down to a rear badge that reworks the era's "Chevelle by Chevrolet" script into "Tulip by Declasse." Writers at autoevolution note the tail also borrows from the 1972 Oldsmobile 442 and the 1970 Impala, so it reads as a composite of early-1970s Detroit muscle rather than one exact car. The name is not new: the Tulip first arrived in GTA Online as a Declasse muscle sedan, and its return ties GTA 6 back to that lineage.

The car carries real weight in the marketing. Trailer 2 closes on Jason and Lucia driving one off into the sunset, the shot fans latched onto as the pair's getaway ride. Beyond that framing and its real-world basis, Rockstar has not shared handling, performance, or how the Tulip figures into the story, so specifics remain unconfirmed until launch.
