Lake Leonida

The large freshwater lake near Ambrosia has no confirmed name in Rockstar's materials; "Lake Leonida" comes from community map analysis rather than official copy. Its real-world model is unmistakable, though: Lake Okeechobee, the huge shallow lake at the center of the Florida peninsula that anchors the state's sugar-farming region.

That placement lines up with Ambrosia's Big Sugar setting, since the real cane fields sit on Okeechobee's southern shore. On community maps the lake dominates central Leonida the way Okeechobee dominates central Florida. Because the name is unofficial and the water has not been a focus of either trailer, little is confirmed about what surrounds it or whether it serves any purpose beyond scenery. Earlier GTA games have included large inland bodies of water mainly as landmarks, and until Rockstar labels this one, both its name and any gameplay function remain community guesswork ahead of the November 2026 release.
