GTA 6 Best and Fastest Cars

GTA 6 top speeds are not confirmed yet. This launch-day guide to the best and fastest cars publishes in full on November 19, 2026.

SixShore · Updated July 22, 2026

There is no confirmed fastest car in GTA 6 yet, so this guide publishes in full on launch day, November 19, 2026. Until the game is out, no one has verified top speeds. This pre-launch version is an honest primer, not a ranked list, and it will not invent numbers for an unreleased game.

Why there is no speed ranking yet

Rockstar has not published performance stats for any GTA 6 vehicle. There is no official top-speed figure, acceleration rating, or handling number anywhere. In past Grand Theft Auto games, the speed charts fans rely on came from players and dataminers who tested every car after release, not from marketing. Expect the same here. A trustworthy fastest-car list needs the game in hand, a fixed test track, and repeatable runs.

So SixShore will not guess. Claiming a specific top speed in mph or km/h right now would be fiction. The vehicles database tracks every confirmed car with a source and leaves the speed field blank until real data exists.

When this page fills in

On and shortly after November 19, 2026, testers will time each car across a set course. Rankings usually settle within the first week or two, once enough runs rule out outliers. This page will then rank the fastest confirmed cars, class by class, and link each entry to its full profile in the vehicles database.

What “fastest” has meant in the series

In past GTA games, top speed and lap time did not always agree. A car with the highest straight-line speed could still lose a race to one that corners and accelerates better. Launch-day rankings will separate three things:

  • Top speed, the maximum on a long straight.
  • Acceleration, how quickly a car reaches that speed.
  • Lap time, the real “fastest” for racing and getaways.

Historically the sports and super classes take the top spots, with the best muscle cars close behind on acceleration off the line. Whether that pattern holds in GTA 6 is unknown until the game ships. Treat this as series precedent, not a GTA 6 fact.

Vehicle classes seen so far

Official trailers and screens show a familiar spread. The performance-relevant classes SixShore has logged as confirmed:

  • Sports cars, the largest performance group so far.
  • Muscle cars.
  • Sedans, SUVs, and off-road trucks for everything else.
  • Motorcycles, shown on both road and dirt.

Boats and aircraft are confirmed too, but this guide is about cars. Rockstar has not released an official class list, so class names on SixShore are our own grouping, matched to how the series has sorted vehicles before.

Fast cars confirmed so far (unranked)

These cars appear in official trailer footage and are logged in the vehicles database. They are strong candidates for a fastest-car list, but none has a confirmed speed. The order below is not a ranking.

  • Pfister Comet, a Porsche 911-style sports car from Trailer 2.
  • Aventador-style supercar, a Lamborghini-inspired build from Trailer 1, with the in-game name not yet confirmed.
  • Grotti Cheetah Classic, a Testarossa-style sports classic.
  • Invetero Coquette D10, based on the mid-engine Corvette C8.
  • Bravado Banshee, a Viper-style two-seater.
  • Maibatsu Penumbra and Grotti Carbonizzare, further sports and grand-touring options.

For muscle, Rockstar has shown the Vapid Dominator and the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire, both likely quick in a straight line. See the full list, each with a source, on the vehicles page.

How to use this page at launch

Come back on November 19. The plan:

  1. Rank the fastest confirmed cars by measured top speed once testing settles.
  2. Add a separate best-for-racing list based on lap time, not just top speed.
  3. Flag which fast cars are tied to the Ultimate Edition or in-game shops, so you know what is earnable versus purchasable. The pre-order guide covers what each edition includes.
  4. Keep every entry cross-linked to its profile in the vehicles database.

Until then, the safe move is to browse confirmed cars rather than chase numbers that do not exist yet. Anything claiming exact GTA 6 top speeds before launch is a guess or a fake. This guide will only rank cars once the game is out and the runs are on the board.
