GTA 6 has two editions: the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. Both include the full base game and the same free pre-order bonus, the Vintage Vice City Pack. The Ultimate Edition costs $20 more and adds premium single-player content that unlocks as you play.

Rockstar sets these prices, and they are the same across the PlayStation Store, the Xbox store, and the Rockstar Store. Both editions launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. There is no PC version at launch. See the release date page for platform details.
What both editions include
Every copy, Standard or Ultimate, comes with the same core items:
- The full base game. The single-player experience is identical. There is no cut content in the Standard Edition.
- The Vintage Vice City Pack, the free pre-order bonus described below.
- One month of GTA+. Pre-orders include a free month of Rockstar’s GTA+ membership. Treat the free month as a bonus, not a reason to choose one edition.
Because the Ultimate Edition contains everything in the Standard Edition, Ultimate buyers receive the Vintage Vice City Pack and the GTA+ month as well.
The Vintage Vice City Pack (free pre-order bonus)
The Vintage Vice City Pack is an 1980s throwback theme included free with every pre-order of either edition. Rockstar’s confirmed contents are:
- A classic 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan and a personal garage near Ocean Beach.
- Period outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia.
- An exclusive vintage weapon pattern.
The deadline matters. Digital purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the pack. Physical pre-orders get it while stocks last. Buy after that window and the pack is not guaranteed. Pre-ordering early is the only way to lock it in.
What the Ultimate Edition adds
The extra $20 buys premium single-player content that unlocks across the story of Jason and Lucia. Rockstar describes it as an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel. In practice the Ultimate Edition adds:
- Premium vehicles that become available as you progress through the story.
- Personalized weapon variants with unique styling.
- Exclusive apparel and tattoos for the two leads.
- Ultimate-only shops and vendors that open up during the game.
- A garage and a car-restoration side activity not found in the Standard Edition.

Physical vs digital
Only the Standard Edition is sold physically, and the boxed copy is a download code rather than a disc. There is no boxed Ultimate Edition and no collector’s edition.
If you buy the Standard Edition and later decide you want the extras, you can purchase a digital Ultimate Edition Upgrade from the PlayStation or Xbox store at any time. Your first choice does not lock you out of the upgrade.
Which edition should you buy?
- Buy Standard if you mainly want the game and the pre-order bonus. You get the complete story and the Vintage Vice City Pack for $79.99.
- Buy Ultimate if you want the extra vehicles, weapons, and shops from the start and do not mind paying $20 more.
No gameplay is locked behind Ultimate. The base game is complete on its own. Ultimate is a convenience and cosmetics package, not an expansion, so the choice comes down to whether the premium extras are worth $20 to you.
