Jason's friend Cal Hampton is a paranoid homebody who feels safest indoors, cracking beers while snooping on Coast Guard radio traffic with a stack of private browser tabs open. Rockstar's tagline for him, "what if everything on the internet was true?", pegs him as the group's conspiracy theorist, and the bio also ties him to the drug runner Brian Heder as a fellow associate.
He was part of the cast reveal that accompanied the second GTA 6 trailer in May 2025. One trailer beat shows him in a soiled t-shirt bearing the logo of Brian's boat yard, placing him in the Leonida Keys crowd around Jason. Cal reads as comic relief in the vein of GTA's long line of unreliable hangers-on, though how large a part he plays is unconfirmed. Confirmed for now are just the friendship with Jason and a low-stakes, plugged-in paranoia.
